Talk about ridiculously underrated! We felt the need to show King’s X some serious love. King’s X has been playing together since the early 1980s and have released twelve studio albums, two live albums and several independent releases. Let us not forget some of the side projects that dUg Pinnick (Vocals / Bass), Ty Tabor (Guitar) and Jerry Gaskill (Drums) have been a part of. These fine gentlemen just completed a small tour that includes dates in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Delaware. In fact our editor, Stan Sher went to see them last night at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Stan said “I was blown away by these guys”. He also added “these guys just get better with age”. We find it to be ridiculous that this band is not much bigger because they are an incredible trio.

From the guitar point of view, Ty Tabor is a great player with a sweet tone. He is seen playing a Gibson Les Paul on this tour.
We feel that King’s X is a power trio that is as incredible as Rush, Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Winery Dogs. There is a reason why King’s X was ranked No. 83 on VH1‘s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
Here is the list of their set list from this mini tour:
